A note from
Hilaire:
Born
into a family of retail and marketing professionals I think I was
genetically predisposed to sales! My
father’s profession required our family to move around the country and
my parents encouraged my involvement in the selection of our new home.
From an early age I studied real estate books and guides
familiarizing myself with the various areas and neighborhoods. Later, when
my family built a home outside St. Louis, Missouri, I worked closely with
the builder through the various stages of construction.
I attended college at Miami University in
Oxford, Ohio where I studied journalism and broadcasting. My professional
career has been varied from administrative assistant to the Vice President
of Clinical Development for a pharmaceutical company, operating a
successful bed and breakfast, building and operating a commercial
greenhouse and breeding and showing Arabian horses. In the late 1980’s
my husband and I began spending the winters on St. Simons Island.
After three years of commuting, we missed the island so much that
we decided to make it our full-time home. So, in 1991 we moved to St.
Simons Island and have loved it ever since!
Studying real estate guides all my life, it seemed I was destined
to become a Realtor®. My journalism background enhances my skills for
research and my knowledge of the area. My family background in retail has
instilled in me a high level of customer service and satisfaction. My
hospitality and property management skills add to my ability to help you
find a property with investment or rental potential. I delight in being a
“personal shopper” matching the perfect property to my clients
individual criteria. When I
am not working real estate, I enjoy the company of my husband, Carl and
spending time with our horses, our greenhouse and our photography.
